In a significant development, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has given his approval for the promotion of civil and public servants in the state. This decision was reached during a recent meeting of the State Executive Council held at the Governor’s Office in Secretariat, Ibadan.
During a press briefing following the council meeting, Prince Dotun Oyelade, the Commissioner for Information, announced that Governor Seyi had granted approval for the promotion of civil servants who have met the necessary criteria for elevation to the next level. This promotion comes after the successful completion of the Year 2022 Promotion Exercise.
Professor Musibau Babatunde, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, also shared that the Head of Service will soon provide further details regarding the number of individuals promoted and the corresponding allowances to be paid.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, was present at the meeting, underscoring the importance of this decision.
