Oh, yes! There was blood. There was another Golgotha. The casualties are beyond imaginations. It is beyond fictitious storyline to tell and retell in order to deceived people. It is not a script to be acted. It is seen fresh blood flowing like a river on the floor of Lekki like an Abattoir. The Green white Green of Nigeria’s flag was painted with blood. But the sparingly but obfuscated question to ask is, who gave the order?

How the best can one properly spin it that Mr. Buhari is not behind the Lekki Massacres? The spatter fests of gore and violence orchestrated by the army against harmless protesters who deemed it fit to register their grievances against the brutality of the operatives of Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu who is at the centre of the executions denied culpability. His hastily debunked statement came when his name became a hit-track in the nooks and crannies of the State. But how could that be in a state he presides over.
The governor said in his statement, ‘’This is the toughest night of our lives as forces beyond our direct control have moved to make dark notes in our history, but we will face it and come out stronger.’’
In the same vein, Nigerian Army through their Facebook Page denied that the personnel of the Force were behind shooting of protesters last night. They attributed the ugly incident to sponsored armed thugs. But another question is, were the videos in circulation doctored? Who could have perfectly doctored a scene where men wear army uniform after a 24-hour curfew have been hastily declared? With obvious evidence, the order sprouted out from the Aso Rock.
Last night’s incident wrote a dark note in the history of our beloved country. Maybe, at some point in life, our children’s children might bother to open the book of blood and read, how at a time, a ferocious and bloodthirsty President fed on the top of the innocent blood of the citizens in a democratic setting, and in a broad daylight.
